Fabulous Hussein Chalayan Creates “Big Bang” Mechanical Dresses

I just love anything that's relate to high tech, futuristic gagets, Galaxy, Mysticism, spirituality stuff and of course Fashion! so when I saw the super talented fashion designer Hussein Chalayan Created a "Big Bang" Mechanical Dresses in his 2008 collection, I had to share w/ y'all if you have not seen it, it's jsut smipily amazing!

Hussein Chalayan is certainly no stranger to incorporating technology into his fashions, as he already showcased a series of LED laser dresses earlier this year in Tokyo. During the 2008 Paris Fashion Week , Hussein presented his Fall collection, which included high-tech dresses used to symbolize the Big Bang

The designer created mechanical dresses that sent out moving spots of light to symbolize the big-bang theory of the beginning of the universe. It's a beautiful sequence that feels almost like a ballet. Here is a video from http://www.adam-wright.com/(open a new browsing window & go to http://www.adam-wright.com/, after the site is loaded, click on the right side says "Fashion" then click on "Hussein Chalayan: Big Bang" to see the movement of the moving gagets in action.

Also you can watch the whole fashion show at his official website http://www.husseinchalayan.com/#/videos.2008.2008_a_w_grains_and_steel/

You were always on my mind..

Maybe I didn't post as much as I could
Maybe I was busy doing something else
But when I saved these pics as I should
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
[creative meddling with Pet Shop Boys : You were always on my mind]

This is my song dedication to you for the hiatus of past couple of weeks. And please hum the song in the coming month too since I will be spending the next month on airport and NY and airport and Atlanta and airport and SF and airport and DC and....you get the idea, right? It is going to be a busy month, but, I will peep in once in a while and say hello. Since, you are always on my mind...you are always on my mind!

You know what else is on my mind? These lovely interiors from my ever growing inspiration files. And s*&% the formatting of the blog...I am sharing these pics extra large! Will work around the formatting when I redesign the blog in the new year. So till then, please bear with the somewhat messed up UE of the site. Focus on the pics. Scroll left to right if needed. Leave me comments and notes. And join the gang of followers on the left sidebar, and on facebook. That's it. Quite reasonable demands, I must say..

Film Noir Meets Fashion - Lady Dior Cannage Bag Film

Dior has done it again! Besides their fabulous clothing & accessories collections, even their AD campaigns are now captivate our imaginations! Directed by Olivier Dahan , featuring French actress Marion Cotillard, Dior has released a mini film of its own - a lady James Bond adventure. For this ad campaign, Dior has invited 2008 Oscar winning French actress Marion Cotillard as its advertisement spokesperson as well as the famous photographer Peter Lindbergh to take shots. Taking a fancy to Marion’s noble temperament, so Dior selected her to be the model who can match with the new Lady Dior Cannage Bag perfectly.

"Chapter 1: A Lady Noire Affair". The film shows off the men in perfectly pressed Dior Homme suits, and Marion Cotillard rushing up the Eiffel Tower in amazing black heels, distinctly shaped "Diorette" sunglasses and the Lady Dior Handbag. Dior has cleverly put their best selling handbag on display with a short film and the episodes will continue. I'll be blissfully await the next video made in New York "Lady Rouge".

Below you can view “The Lady Noire Affair”, which was released in May. Do not expect to get all the answers right away. If you pay careful attention there are clues provided. So who will save lady Dior? We will have to wait and see.

It’s said that the reason why this bag is so famous is kinda related with our familiar Princess Diana. "In 1995, at the Cezanne Art Exhibition sponsored by Dior Corporation, the former French First Lady Bernadette Chirac sent Princess Diana a new model of Christian Dior bags as a gift." Then Dior immediately named this unreleased bag "Lady Dior" - gracefully to the name extremely. And Diana also liked this bag so much that she carried it in many important official occasions, then this bag has fired up.

This latest Lady Dior Cannage Bag 2009 is crafted by the soft supple suede which sends out a light lambency, patterned with cannage embroidery and logo cannage jacquard lining. With unique cannage geometric surface and two hemicycle handles, it’s also attached with silver Dior logo metal hard ware and the metal protective feet. Besides, there is an open top with protective flap closure on top and a zipped pocket inside. Available in two colors: black and brown. Limited Edition FENDI Grey Jersey Peekaboo Satchel w/ Hot Pink Leather Lining - Sporty Chic

OMG! I am crazy about this Limited Edition FENDI Grey Jersey Peekaboo Satchel w/ Hot Pink Leather Lining!! It's so uptown chic yet downtown cool! Combining the everyday material as the jersey fabric that we wear as the sweatshirt with luxurious hot pink color leather, it's a must have for every hip fashionistas!

Avaliable at Luxe-Gifts.com

The Fendi Peek-a-Boo bag is an "underground" celebrity it bag. It's a pretty low-key handbag, , but it just screams luxury.

We've been reporting many different style of the Fendi Peekaboo Satchel in our blog, but this new jersey peekaboo is one of my favorite one, because it has a very similar shape to the Hermes Kelly bag, but this Fendi Peekaboo satchel has a classic shape without seeming "snoby" and bourgeois like the Hermes Kelly.... and it's way more hip and easy to carry. Don't get me wrong i love Hermes, but compare to Fendi's peekaboo, I like this bag more, it's just my opinion.

• Light grey jersey fabric with hot pink leather lining.
• Goldtone and silvertone hardware.
• Top handle with rings; 4 1/2" drop.
• Adjustable, removable shoulder strap; 25" drop.
• Framed top; turn-lock closure.
• Button-tabs on sides.
• Two interior pockets; one zip, one open.• Includes dust bag.

Umm...couple of tickets to Brazil please..

Mr. Wilbert Das, when not being the über creative director at Diesel, is into setting up beautiful villas in Brazil. So glad he picked up this 'hobby', else we wouldn't have had Uxua Casa Home.

"Above a remote stretch of Brazil’s Bahian coastline sits an enchanting fishing village called Trancoso. On the town’s historic green (the Quadrado) is a secret garden holding a luxurious hideaway; nine 1-3 bedroom houses built and decorated in collaboration with local artisans using traditional building methods, recycled materials, and exquisite attention to detail."

Well, Thank you Mr. Das. Good job!
Now for those tickets and reservations..
But wait. Let me first practice pronouncing Uxua...it can't sound the way its sounds coming out of my mouth..can it?
You try. While you take a look at this amazing place..
